How does the solar system work at night?
As we all know, the sun does not shine at night. But things would be different if there was a battery in your solar system.
When solar panels generate electricity throughout the day, the surplus energy above your consumption will be injected into the battery for later use.
Furthermore, if the TOU system is applied in your area, you could set the battery to be charged at midnight with the lowest electricity rate and discharged at peak load.

Therefore, a battery is strongly recommended if black-out becomes one of your major concerns. It could provide backup power during the black-out, so you keep the essential home appliances or your business running.
